Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm // The August Review

Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm

This was a newer product to Cult Beauty that I kept my eye on. It was a little more than what I would pay for a cleansing balm but I've now gone and repurchased it twice!
The product description says:
"This face wash in balm form melts away makeup and impurities without stripping moisture from your skin (thank you, vitamin E). As you massage it into your skin with wet fingertips, the oil-based formula softens to create a light, gentle milk that rinses clean with no oily residue (the kind that may have turned you off from cleansing balms in the past)."

Pros

- Light fresh fragrance.
- A little goes a long way.
- Great consistency.
- Comes in two sizes (perfect for travel).
- Can be used as a first and second cleanse.
- Removed makeup and SPF with ease.
- Left skin feeling soft.
- No breakouts or irritation.
- Found it didn't irritate my eyes.

Cons

- Can be considered "pricey".

The Verdict

I am in love with this cleanser. With lockdown and The Body Shop camomile cleansing balm being popular, I wanted to find a few different ones to have more choice when products were out of stock. This is a little pricier at £16.50, but in comparison to various cleansing balms on the market, you get more product and end up paying less in the long run. It takes off my makeup and SPF with no issue and I've found that oily texture you do get with cleansing balms doesn't linger. My face is fresh, smooth and matte. Highly recommend.

As always, thanks for reading...
