The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% // The August Review

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I brought this earlier in the year when I found the pores on my nose were enlarged. It was highly recommend online amongst bloggers, forums and reviews on Boots and Cult Beauty.
The description says:
"Breakouts could soon be a thing of the past. Tackle the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone and combat blemishes thanks to Niacinamide. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is a potent serum that regulates sebum production and blemish-causing bacteria for a visibly clearer complexion."

- Affordable.
- Wasn't overly fragranced.

- Didn't get on with the consistency.
- No change to my pores.
- Found it aggravated small breakouts I had.

The Verdict

This unfortunately didn't work for me.
I found the consistency very unusual, thick, with a gel feel when applying to the face and at one point, I had small breakouts in the corner of my nose that became aggravated and sore when applied over. It was such a shame as I get on so well with other The Ordinary products, but I always keep in mind that not everything will work for everyone. I'm still trying to find something to combat the larger pores on my nose, so please leave any suggestions below. I wouldn't repurchase this, but couldn't fault anyone wanting to try it for themselves as I don't have an alternative to suggest and it's very affordable.

As always, thanks for reading...
