La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Cleansing Gel // The August Review

La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Cleansing Gel

Boots have been doing a Tuesday offer where certain products become £10 and this facial wash was one of them. I already had a few but was interested as it was on offer and I hadn't used any of the brands cleansers before. What caught me was this could be used as a body wash and I was struggling to find one that would help with the steroid breakouts I was having. I decided to take a chance and it's been amazing.
The product description says:
"A fresh, foaming gel facial wash specifically formulated for oily and blemish-prone skin.
Specially formulated foaming facial wash for oily, blemish-prone skin. Gently cleanses the skin thanks to its high tolerance foaming power. Removes dirt, grime and sebum from the surface of the skin without disturbing its delicate balance and leaves the skin feeling clean and refreshed. Can also be used as a body wash.
Gently removes dirt and grime away from the skin. Proven to reduce the appearance of spot and blackheads and control shine. Leaves skin feeling clean and fresh."

- Lathers beautifully.
- Combats my breakouts on my face and body.
- Not heavily scented.
- A little goes a long way.
- Doesn't dry out my skin.

- A little pricey outside offers.

The Verdict

I have been very on the fence about this product. I love it, but I am still trying to find a cheaper alternative. This is really good to pick up when on offer or if you want to treat yourself. I have breakouts over my arms and back of my neck that are gone because of using this, but when adding to my usual routine budget it's not manageable. I recommend this but I would say don't break the bank for it.

As always, thanks for reading...
