Every year I put together treat bags for some of the children in my family. Last year I decided to put together some little ones for Trick or Treaters.
With Halloween 2 days away I've put together a post with both styles of treat bags. You could use these for family, friends, trick or treaters or even work colleagues.

Trick Or Treaters

Here is a photo of what I accumulated for the Trick Or Treaters. I did have some temporary tattoos I managed to pick up in the Halloween Sale last year but I couldn't find where I put them. If I find them by Halloween I'll just hand them out to kids who want one.
I picked up the little cellophane bags, spiders and balloons from eBay, the marshmallows from Tesco and the tubs of sweets from Monmore Confectionery.
This was about half way through. I obviously wore latex free gloves when packing as they were loose sweets. The only thing I think I'll change for next year is the bags. These have the little plastic cover which you pull off to reveal the sticky closing tab. They were filled with static and stuck everywhere you didn't want them. It took me a while sealing them up because of this.
All finished! I got the Trick or Treat bowl from Wilko's and just managed to squeeze in the 100 treat bags. I was going to do more as 100 of them went within an hour last year. I thought doing the same number this year will help gauge if I'll need to do more next Halloween.

Treat Bags (Older Kids)

Here is the haul of bits I had for the older kids. Again I had some items I picked up or had left over from last year as well as some new pieces. I didn't end up using all what is seen here.
I ended up using some cellophane bags from last year instead of the character paper bags. I found the stack of cups at Tesco for £2 and really wanted to use them.
Baker Ross is a fantastic website for bag fillers as well as arts and crafts pieces (They currently have a brilliant clearance sale so take a look before it all goes!).
The little sliding puzzles, pull back racers and yo-yos came in great pack sizes that were affordable. Just what I was after. They went into the cups with some of the fake spiders and balloons left over from the trick or treater bags.
I then packaged them up in the cellophane bags alongs side the packs of Teeth & Lips and Halloween Haribo.
When I put them all together the only thing I didn't managed to add was the ribbon as I am waiting it to be delivered.

Treat Bags (Baby / Toddler)

With my cousins little boy only being a few months old I picked up this lovely trick or treat outfit to go with a packet of white buttons and little pink wind up elephant.
I rolled up the onesie and put it in the cup and packaged it in the same cellophane bag with the sweets. The elephant unfortunately wouldn't fit but I can always give that separately.

And they are all done! I hope something like this can help you whether you have children in your family and friend groups, want to do something for your trick or treaters or you are throwing a Halloween party at home or school.

As always, thanks for reading...
This is going to be the 5th year I share my pumpkin carvings on my blog. With only a few days to go I thought putting together this post of my previous ones could help anyone who may be after inspiration.

How is it different to last years?

Like I mentioned in last year's advent post, the Clarins range isn't as broad so you would expect some repeats but 80% of the calendar? it's a little disappointing to see.
Like with the women's advent, they have brought back the gorgeous cabinet structure with the same Christmas design but in blue. I feel this structure is better as it is compact, reusable and recyclable.

Is it worth the price?

At £60.00 you get £112.00 worth of products included, it is definitely worth the RRP price wise. Contents wise however, the worth will be determined on whether you want or expect there to be repeated products. For first time buyers this is a great advent to target mens skincare issues. For someone after something new, I'd check out the Mens Christmas gifting range rather than purchasing the advent.

Do you think Clarins are the best for mens calendars? Would you like to see something new next year?

*Highlighted products are repeats from last years Advent Calendar*

How is it different to last years?

This advent has been released, again, with 66% of its contents repeated to last years. There are also 3 products repeated but in different shades. The Face Scrub and The Mascara are the only 2 completely new products, which is a shame for those who wanted something new this year.
They have brought back the lovely cabinet structure which I think is better as it is reusable as well as recyclable. It opens up to have two sides of draws which makes it even more compact. The design in particular is lovely and festive but it would of been nice to see another colour other than red.

Is it worth the price?

Priced again at £60.00 you do get £125.00 worth of products! I feel as though the 12 day Clarins advent is smart as it's a cost effective way to introduce someone to the brand, for people thinking they may get some different this year, could be dissapointed. If you don't want an advent of repeats but love Clarins check out their Christmas Gifting range.

Does the Clarins advent interest you? Would you buy an advent with repeats?

How is it different to last years?

Rituals have again kept the signature Christmas tree design. They usually do a separate colour scheme for this advent but this year they've inverted the colours of the first advent to have this red base with gold accents. Again there was no contents last year, so comparing this to the 2017 advent, I found 4 repeated products. It's good bet you'd get some repeats in the advent this year.

Is it worth the price?

Another small increase of 90p this advent is £89.90 with £148.50 worth claim. Adding everything up the worth claim is again true, Rituals are a company who always follow through on the worth claim. This deluxe advent has seen more dramatic price increases over the years so I'm glad that is something we didn't see again this year. I always say that an advent £50.00 or more needs to be thought about seriously as you may say spend £100 but only use £20 worth of the contents. Despite that, I do prefer this advent over the £59.90 one they offer as I feel the contents are a better variety.

Do you think this is a good advent? Would you purchase this over their £59.90 one?

The Rituals "The Ritual Of Advent" Advent Calendar is currently priced at £59.90 featuring bathing products, candles and accessories. This is one of two calendars the brand is offering this year.

Contents

  • 2 x The Ritual of Namaste Hydrating Ampoule 2ml
  • 1 x Wonder Mask 10g
  • 1 x The Ritual of Sakura Shower Scrub 70ml
  • 1 x The Ritual of Samurai Foaming Shower Gel Sport 50ml

  • 1 x Nail Treat Gift Set
  • 1 x The Ritual of Ayurveda Foaming Shower Gel 50ml
  • 1 x Advent Mini Candle Private Collection - Oriental Vetiver
  • 1 x Advent Mini Candle Private Collection - Sacred Saffron
  • 1 x Advent Mini Candle Private Collection - Savage Garden
  • 1 x Advent Mini Candle Private Collection - Precious Amber
  • 1 x Amsterdam Collection Body Mist 20ml
  • 1 x Amsterdam Collection Hand Wash 110ml

  • 1 x The Ritual of Ayurveda Dry Oil VATA 30ml
  • 1 x The Ritual of Happy Buddha Body Cream 70ml
  • 1 x Miracle Wipes - Travel
  • 1 x Spoon/Spatula

How is it different to last years?

Keeping the same design and colour scheme but going with gold as the backing colour, is a little disappointing. I do feel the Rituals Advent designs are a signature for their Christmas collection, but seeing a new colour scheme would of been nice.
I am unable to say whether there are any repeated products to last years advent as there was no contents list. But, I did compare this to the 2017 contents list and found 6 repeats so I would say you are bound to get a few.

Is it worth the price?

Priced at £59.90, there is only a 40p increase to last year. Their worth claim is £118.45 and after adding the majority of the contents up (the spoon and nail treat didn't have a set price) I was able to calculate that worth claim true. However the worth to you is going to be determined by whether you want to take the gamble on how many repeats this calendar could have. I do like Rituals I just find this alternate years of offering a contents list situation a little suspicious.

Are you a fan of Rituals? Are you going to purchase this advent?
