Revolution Conceal & Define Supersize Concealer // The August Review

The newest addition to Revolution's amazing product range, I picked this up during a Superdrug order as it was on a 3 for 2 offer. I had recently used the smaller version and although I can sometimes be funny about doe foot applicators, I was happy to have a bigger version of this in my makeup bag.

Want to try it for yourself? Click Here to see their range on Superdrug.

The Concealer

The superdrug website describes it as;
"Containing more than 3 times the product of the original size in the same inclusive shade range. Choose from 24 shades, ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertone. Lightweight yet full coverage concealer to cover blemishes, even skin tone and counteract dark circles, with a matte finish that won't settle or accentuate fine lines and pores. This long-wearing and intense pigment can also be used to contour and add definition. The large doe foot applicator allows for smooth application that won't drag on the delicate skin under your eyes. Vegan & Cruelty Free."

Pros

  • Brilliant price.
  • Good shade range.
  • Good coverage.
  • Soft consistency.
  • Even application.
  • A little goes a long way.
  • Fantastic for hiding dark circles.

Cons

  • Layering it with a blending sponge was better than a brush. Brush application made it quite "cakey" looking.

The Verdict

For a drugstore brand, Revolution or as they were known, Makeup Revolution, always turn out products that are worth what you pay. Their newest base range of foundations and concealers has created a huge hype in the beauty community. I really liked the smaller version of this product so to get more for my money by buying the super size version is brilliant. It is one of the best drugstore concealers I've come across for hiding my dark circles, which is no easy feat. The only problem I have with this is finding it difficult to apply with a brush without looking cakey. I'd stick to a blending sponge if you were to pick this up.

Are you a fan of Revolution makeup products? Would you try this concealer?
