How is it different to last years?
As you can see all the highlighted products are duplicates that featured in last years advent calendar. Increasing from 7 to 10 repeated items means the advent contents are 41.6% the same as last year. It's not a great incentive for those who love The Body Shop and want to try the new releases from 2018 or newer scents but to someone new to the brand it isn't going to have as much as an impact to them.
Is it worth the price?
This advertises the contents are worth £85, by my calculations the products you get are worth that price, so picking up this calendar for £45 is a steal!
For me the real question of is it worth the price reverts back to the contents and if you are a new buyer of Body Shop or a regular consumer. It's a shame that this has so many repeated products, even though they are best sellers and favourites, the brand only has so many to choose from to give you this great saving. Would you want to pay the same price and expect almost half of the same year after year? It may be worth looking at the other two they released this year instead.
What do you think? Would you pay for a 24 day advent, knowing you've received 10 days of products before?
I am doing another month of #CalendarCountdown, I'd love to know what you think of all the different advents and you can find me on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. Use the hashtag #CalendarCountdown if you have one of these advents or if you have your own way of counting down to Christmas. As always, thanks for reading...
