Zoella Gelato Body Spritz

"Spritz Zoella Gelat'Eau Body Mist all over your body for a fresh and sweet scent that lasts all day!"

- Not too strong.
- Long lasting fragrance.
- Lovely bottle shape and design.

- You can smell the Elderflower more than the Pomegranate.

I don't usually buy fragrances as the scent can be a lot stronger than the body products and stronger scents can lead to headaches and migraines for myself and my mother.
I was really surprised that I couldn't smell the pomegranate as much with this in comparison to the shower shake or shower sauce but the scent wasn't overbearing. I found I could wear this without it flaring a headache and it lasted all day.

Zoella Gelato Shower Shake

"Indulge in the crème de la crème of body washes. Shower Shake not only cleanses skin, it moisturises too! Blended with extracts of Elderflower and Pomegranate to help brighten, smooth and tone."

- Lathers really well.
- Creamy consistency.
- Is moisturising.
- Great to shave your legs with!

- The scent doesn't last as long as the Shower Sauce.

I was very 50/50 about purchasing this as moisturising lotions don't tend to work 100% for me but this not only worked well on it's own but better when coupled with the Body Pudding. It's really creamy and I find it leaves my skin feeling hydrated without that "sticking to clothing" feeling. I decided to start coupling it up with the body pudding to make my skin feel more nourished and the scent last longer throughout the hotter days we've had and it's such a good combination. I'd recommend this, especially as the double up, to everyone who likes the scent of Elderflower and Pomegranate.

Zoella Gelato Shower Sauce

"Lather up with this deliciously scented Zoella Gelato Shower Sauce."

- Gorgeously scented (Elderflower & Pomegranate).
- A little goes a long way.
- Good gel consistency.
- Get a lot of product for the price.

- Comparing it to the Shower Shake, I find this lathers better with an exfoliating sponge than exfoliating as your rub it on your skin.

Zoella has released many lines under her beauty range and I haven't loved one as much as this since the Tutti Frutti range. Personally being 25 it's not just a lovely scent but it suits me as it isn't overly sweet. The target audience for Zoella's products would generally be perceived as being between 11-15 but this would be suitable for all ages. The consistency is a solid gel formula and the scent lasts well throughout the day. This has been put to the test this month with the hot weather and I think it's done it's job well. If you're in Superdrug and you like the scent I'd pick it up.

Real Techniques Brush Cleaner

"Great makeup application starts with a clean brush. Our exclusive formula of deep cleansing gel is designed to extend the life of your brushes by removing makeup, oils and impurities for a new brush clean."

- Lovely gel texture.
- A little goes a long way.
- Smells nice.
- Lathers quickly and easily.

- Can be hard to squeeze out the bottle!

I've not used many brush cleaners as I usually clean my makeup brushes with Baby Shampoo or Olive Oil and Antibacterial Wash. Most of my Brushes are by Real Techniques so it made sense for me to try this out. It initially was quite tough to squeeze it out the bottle but once applied to the brushes it lathers and works beautifully. I haven't gone back to my old method of washing brushes since! If you have the StylPro or use a brush washing mitt then I'd recommend this 100%. For people who wash their brushes by hand, because this lather so well make sure you rinse thoroughly.

StylPro Makeup Brush Cleaner

"The latest invention from Tom Pellereau (winner of The Apprentice and inventor of the curved nail file), StylPro leaves makeup brushes clean, dry and ready to reuse in seconds. Professionals recommend cleaning makeup brushes every two to four weeks, but traditional cleaning methods are messy, laborious and leave brushes wet and unusable for up to 24 hours. CLEAN AND DRY MAKEUP BRUSHES IN SECONDS. StylPro uses an innovative centrifugal spin technology to leave your makeup brush completely clean and dry in less time than it takes to choose a shade of lipstick!"

- Works really well.
- Fit's all my brushes.
- Quick to clean.
- Quick to dry.

- It retails at £49.99 which can be a lot for some people to put down at once.

IT WORKS! I was very sceptical of the concept until I saw so many YouTubers try it and review it. I wanted this for so long but only got my hands on it this past May as a Birthday treat to myself. You simply attach the brush to the motor, dunk it in water and brush cleaner and turn on the motor for it to spin for 20-30 seconds before lifting the brush out the water for another 20-30 seconds to dry. With some brushes the process isn't always as simple and you may need to wash or dry them for longer but they clean and dry instantly. This is amazing if you use a lot of brushes, are a makeup artist or do a lot of Special Effects makeup looks.

Makeup Revolution Face Precision Oval Brush

"The design of this brush means it adapts to the shape of your face providing the most flexible movement for flawless application. Perfect for blending out contour, bronzer, blusher or finishing powder."

- Really soft.
- Easy to clean.
- Very dense texture, makes buffing foundation easy and gives a flawless application.
- Good price.
- Doesn't hold too much product in the brush.

- The application technique takes time to get use to.
- Doesn't work well around the eyes without swapping out for a smaller brush.

I had seen the original Artis Brushes come out a few years ago and thought it more a trend than an actual new technique in applying makeup. The smaller brushes for lips and eyeshadow I was sceptical at but the face ones interested me. I decided to go with the Makeup Revolution version of this style of brush as it was more affordable and I'd heard so many positive reviews.
Although it took a while for me to get use to this brush works really well. I've never had a smoother application / buffing / blend of my foundation. The only downside is that I still need to use a beauty blender around my nose and eyes as it doesn't get into those smaller areas as smooth. I think this is a brilliant brush for Halloween or Special Effects makeup as it covers a larger surface area and can be uses all over the face, neck and body.

NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray

"Demand Perfection! For that fresh make up look that lasts NYX Professional Makeup Makeup Setting Sprays are lightweight and comfortable while working hard to make sure your makeup stays put. Available in a gorgeous Matte Shine-Free Finish or Dewy Fresh Glow."

- Gives a dewy finish.
- Spray covers a large surface area.
- Long lasting.
- Sets makeup.
- Good price.

- None!

I brought this just before Christmas last year as I thought it'd give me a lovely dewy finish when my skin was looking so dry. I was really surprised at how long it set my makeup and loved how long that dewy finish lasted. I already have another on order for this years Autumn / Winter so I can look fresh and dewy. If that's the look you are looking for / after I'd give this a try.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

"The Better Than Sex Mascara Hourglass-Shaped Brush was designed after discovering the bust-waist-hip ratio of an iconic silver screen Blonde Bombshell held the secret to the perfect brush silhouette that separates, coats and curls each lash to voluptuous perfection. One coat of the carbon black, collagen-fueled mascara formula and lashes are full, defined and stretched to unbelievable lengths. Two coats and lashes are even more luscious, curled and dramatic. Three coats and achieve the most intense black, oversized, multidimensional lashes possible!"

- Really pigmented black mascara.
- Gives amazing length and volume.
- Unusual hourglass shaped wand but easy to work with and catches all inner corner lashes.
- Doesn't crumble off after long wear.
- Holds curl/lift of the lashes.
- Doesn't dry in the tube quick.

- Is pricey for a mascara.

When I purchased the Too Faced Foundation and Concealer I was actually going to order one of their lip products but decided to go for their mascara instead. I had enough lip products and I'd heard so many people rave about this mascara but I was originally put off by it's price. In a similar way to the Born This Way Concealer, Too Faced have created a product that works perfectly and requires little work to get flawless results. If you are someone who is get up and go and throws on a quick layer of mascara this will make you look like you spent ages, have falsies or even had extensions. My number one mascara is the Maybelline Lash Sensational and this is like the high end version of it. The brush is a little unusual but you get all those inner corner lashes and it lifts and holds the curl beautifully. If you have more in your budget for makeup I'd not only recommend you try out this mascara but Too Faced in general as I'm very impressed.

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer

"Instantly hide imperfections, vanish the appearance of dark circles, and blur the look of lines and wrinkles for complete coverage so undetectable, they'll think you were Born This Way."

- High coverage.
- Soft wand that distributes the product evenly.
- Great colour match.
- Can use a brush or beauty blender to get the same flawless result.
- Doesn't crease under my eyes.
- Covers dark circles and blemishes.

- Pricey for a concealer.

This is the best concealer I've ever used and I am gutted it costs £20 a tube. It is the only thing that puts me off this as I mainly use concealer to cover my dark circles and double as a highlight. I would recommend this and I would pay this for a concealer if I used it sparingly but because this is so good and it doesn't create a lot of effort to get such amazing results I found myself constantly reaching for it.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

"Skin so naturally radiant they'll think you were born this way. 'Born This Way' is an oil free foundation that masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin. For coverage so undetectable, you can't see the makeup and imperfections, all that's left is naturally radiant skin that looks like you were born this way. This revolutionary liquid foundation is infused with a potent combination of coconut water to naturally replenish moisture levels, nature's resilient alpine rose to brighten the skin's appearance and promote elasticity and hyaluronic acid for a smoother, more youthful appearance. For medium coverage, apply a small amount from the centre of the face outward and blend with fingertips, sponge or brush. Build to full coverage by layering as needed."

- Such a wide shade range, picked this up in Snow which matched me perfectly.
- Lovely silk consistency.
- Amazing coverage.
- Is buildable.
- Is oil free.
- A little goes a long way.
- Hasn't caused me any breakouts.
- Long lasting.

- None!

I had heard so many positive reviews about Too Faced as a brand as well as the foundation. I absolutely love this foundation, I actually prefer this over the Estee Lauder Double Wear. The coverage is fantastic and I can get a flawless application with both a Makeup Brush and a Beauty Blender. I actually prefer to use a buffer brush with this over the beauty blender which is unusual for me when I try to get a full coverage application. A little product goes a long way and it's super long lasting, I would 100% recommend this to everyone whose after a new high coverage foundation.

Lottie London Ready Set Go Translucent Powder

"Lottie London, Ready, Set! Go, is a translucent finishing powder that will set your makeup in place for all day selfie ready beauty! Creates a silky smooth platform for a bronzer or blusher to be applied on top."

- Picks up on the brush easily with minimal fallout.
- A little goes a long way.
- It does set matte really well and I'm able to use a blush on top.
- Really good price and can sometimes be picked up at Superdrug in a 3 for 2 offer.

- None!

This has become my ultimate go to drugstore powder. After using ELF for so long I was gutted when they temporarily stopped shipping to the UK but I'm so glad I came across this. A little goes a long way, it sets matte and it doesn't break the bank! Would 100% recommend this.

Barry M Metallic Lip Kit

"In shimmering bold metallic shades, it's non-drying, ultra-long wearing formula is easy to apply and will leave lips with a gorgeously bold finish. Each kit comes with a Matte Liquid Lip Paint and Lip Liner."

- Metallic, but doesn't pick up on camera flash...perfect!
- The Lip Liner matches the Liquid Lipstick better.
- Drys faster than the Matte shades.

- Only three shades.
- Not as pigmented as the Matte shades.
- Not as long lasting as other Liquid Lipsticks.

A few months after Barry M launched the Matte Me Up shades they released 3 more in Metallic. These metallic liquid lipsticks are up and coming for a lot of brands and I was excited for this trend. I want to find a lovely metallic lip ready for Autumn / Winter as I think it suits the season. Barry M was again one that I was on the fence with. There are as many pros as there are cons but I think for people who want to try out the trend and are not too bothered about upkeep throughout the day then I'd say give it a try.

Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Kit

"Reach pout perfection with the Matte Me Liquid Lip Paint and Liner. In 3 gorgeous statement shades, it's non-drying, ultra-long wearing formula is easy to apply and will leave lips with a gorgeously bold finish. Each kit comes with a Matte Liquid Lip Paint and Lip Liner."

- Affordable.
- Does dry matte.

- Limited shade range.
- Drys darker than it look in the bottle (This shade ended up not suiting me at all).
- The lip liner is darker than the lip shade.
- Isn't as buildable as other liquid lipsticks.

I ordered this online and the colour didn't suit me at all. When I swatched the other two shades in store I wasn't overly keen. I would love to see more colours in these and a better match on the Lip Liner. It is a lot darker than the Lip Shade and I'm not a huge fan of that look from the 90's. They dry matte, quite quick and it lasted well through eating and drinking. It is quite pigmented but when I tried to build it up a little more it was thick and showed all the cracks in my lips. I'm not 100% sure on this product but would keep an eye on new colours or a reformulation as I like the kit premise.

Maybelline Master Brow Pro Palette

"Sculpt, fill & highlight. Master the ultimate polished brow with the new Master Brow Pro Palette."

- Highlight is lovely.
- The brow powder is really pigmented.

- The brush was too small for me to use.
- I have only seen this in Soft & Dark Brown so there's not much of a choice.
- I wasn't overly keen on the wax.

I bought this product after seeing so many YouTuber's use it but to be honest I was left disappointed with the results.
My brow hair are sparse and long so the wax didn't really take to them and when I used the brow powder I found it had more fallout and smudging on application and ultimately didn't attach/adhere to the wax. The highlight I had no problem with, it's a gorgeous pink toned highlight that lasts well during the day. I don't think brow powder products are for me and I wouldn't buy this again.

Maybelline Age Rewind Eye Concealer

"Tired eyes? What tired eyes? Meet the next generation of concealer skin improving benefits. Maybelline Eraser Eye does more than just cover! It's coloured pigments perfect the under eye area covering flawlessly. Enriched with Goji Berry the formula cares for the eye area that suffers most from a hectic social life and lack of sleep - the eyes."

- Smooth application.
- Good coverage.
- Lasted all day.
- Sponge applicator distributes the product evenly.

- Wasn't the best colour match for me.
- It's a shame that it's only available in two shades.

I have read so many positive posts about this concealer but as it was by Maybelline I was a little sceptical. A lot of Maybelline products I've used have a yellow undertone whereas I am more a pink or neutral undertone. I was a little disappointed with this not being the best colour match to me but it came in handy to highlight and conceal after coming back tanned from holiday. If this was brought out in a wider range of shades as well as including options for different undertones it would be a holy grail product for me as the coverage and longevity was brilliant for the price.

Revlon Colorstay Concealer

"24 Hour wear with time release technology balances imperfections for a continuously flawless look. Covers imperfections, conceals blemishes and dark circles with full yet undetectable coverage."

- Brilliant coverage.
- Great colour match.
- The wand distributes the product quite evenly.
- Covers my dark circles.
- Blendable.

- I wouldn't say it was 100% 24 Hour Wear.

After trying the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer I wanted to find a good drugstore dupe and this was the closest I got. The Revlon Colorstay has brilliant coverage with a wide shade range and comes close in longevity to the Too Faced concealer. The only thing I wouldn't say is that it's 24 Hour wear.

L'Oreal 24H Matte Foundation

"Ultra-melting fluid emulsion perfectly glides and fuses on the skin - no cakey or dull effect. 24HR mattifying action absorbing mineral micro sponges helps to absorb excess oil."

- Mattifying.
- Perfect colour match.
- Smooth application with a beauty blender.
- Medium coverage.
- Long lasting.

- Doesn't get the same flawless finish with a makeup brush.
- Needs to be worked in as it sets matte quite quick.

I brought this as a day to day matte foundation because it advertised medium coverage with long lasting qualities. I was quite disappointed that I couldn't get a flawless coverage with my buffer brush, I kept finding it streaked around my nose and didn't blend as well into my neck. When I used a damp Beauty Blender it was easier to get that flawless base. This would be a good foundation for most skin types but I would suggest using a primer.

Colourpop Super Shock Blush

"Our famous Super Shock formula turned creme powder blush creates a natural flush that's buildable and super blendable for all day wear."

- Picks up well on the brush with minimal fallout.
- Blendable.
- Good pigmentation, is more subtle and buildable.
- Great size.
- Subtle shimmer.
- Lovely neutral pink, great for all skin tones.

- None!

When it comes to blush, I don't hoard it as much like I do with Lip Products and Foundations. I usually like to find one and wear it to death. I had a blush on the go when I ordered this and it took about a month before I decided to change up my day to day makeup and picking this was the best choice. It classes itself as a creme powder blush and although the texture feels that way it comes across quite soft and matte almost like a powder foundation. When I next do a Colourpop order I'm definitely going to invest in more of these.
