As always, thanks for reading...

With these advent calendars I couldn't find if they released any last year so I'm writing these up as new this year and going through each one to see if it's worth the price.

Chase Distillery 24 Days Of Christmas Spirit - £130

- 2 x Chase Vodka
- 2 x Chase Rhubarb Vodka
- 2 x Chase Marmalade Vodka
- 2 x Chase Smoked Vodka
- 2 x Chase Elderflower Liqueur
- 1 x Chase Blackcurrant Liqueur
- 1 x Chase Raspberry Liqueur
- 2 x Williams GB Gin
- 2 x Williams Elegant Gin
- 2 x Williams Pink Grapefruit Gin
- 2 x Williams Seville Orange Gin
- 1 x Pococello
- 1 x Naked Chase Apple Vodka
- 2 x Williams Chase Sloe & Mulberry Gin

Is it worth the money?

Yes & No. I think £130 is a little steep but you are getting the williams and chase brands. If you are a real spirit lover then I'd say go for it, but for people thinking this as a gift idea I'd say shop around.

Craft Beer Advent Calendar - £74.99

- Contains Saisons, Stouts, Pilsners and Ales from companies like Two Roads Brewing Co, Magic Rock, Evil Twin and Schneider Weisse.

Is it worth the money?

I would 100% buy this & recommend this. I love the variety of different beers and all the brands that have collaborated on this. I think for a Christmas Party this would be handy to, sure you wouldn't necessarily do the advent part but you'd get a lot of variety from this.

Ginvent Advent Calendar - £124.95

- Created in collaboration with Gin Foundry this advent contains 24 30ml bespoke drams from artisan distilleries.

Is it worth the money?

In my opinion no. Gin is one of those alcohols that most people like one way so having a variety isn't going to be the best to gift to someone like that. At £124.95 It is too steep to gift as a "give it a go" too.

Virgin Wines Advent Calendar - £69.99

- 24 187ml-200ml bottles of Wine, including a mix of red, white, prosecco and port from different world renowned wineries.

Is it worth the money?

100%, this advent is the best value out of the wine advent calendars I've seen. You get your 24 day countdown with an amazing variety of wines from worldwide wineries. If you have someone who loves wine or again if you're having a Christmas party then I'd buy this.

What do you think of the Alcohol Advents? Do you think these are a good way of buying a variety of alcohol over Christmas?

That's it! This is my last Calendar Countdown post. I will be doing a masterlist post for people who are looking for an overview but aside from that I will now being going into Christmas Gift Guides, DIY's and lots of festive bits and pieces. You can catch me on Twitter or Instagram.

As always, thanks for reading...

An advent calendar for your pet may sound crazy to some people but to animal lovers your cat or dog are part of the family and treating them at Christmas is just as important.

Lily's Kitchen Cat Advent Calendar - £9.95

This calendar is generously filled with 3 different types of treats:
- Chicken Liver treats that are enriched with Taurine an essential amino acid for your cat.
- Festive treats with Shrimp which includes a lot of Omega 3's to keep your cat's coat shiny.
- Turkey treat with Cranberry a great Christmas twist on a treat for your cat.

Lily's Kitchen Dog Advent Calendar - £9.95

This calendar is generously filled with 3 different types of treats:
- Rise & Shines are flower shaped treats made with beef live, carrots, blackstrap molasses and alfalfa to keep your dog's coat nice and shiny.
- Training Treats are mini bone shaped biscuits made with fresh russet apples and organic farmhouse cheddar. Great for keeping your dog's attention away from the tree.
- Bedtime Biscuits made with honey, yoghurt, chamomile & passion flowers to promote Christmas eve sleep.

How are they different to last years?

They're not. This years advent and last years contain the same treats and design but your dog or cat isn't going to remember that ^.^

Are they worth the money?

They are a little pricey but you're giving your pet treats that are better for them nutritionally than an advent you'd pick up for them in the poundshop. Lily's Kitchen are the first ever pet food brand to win a Queen's awards for enterprise and as a Dog owner that speaks volumes.

What do you think of the Lily's Kitchen Advents? Do you buy one for your pet?

Tsum Tsum Figure Advent Calendar - £35.00

- Features a fold out gingerbread house
- 18 Tsum Tsum Figures: 6 large, 6 medium (in Holiday Attire) and 6 small.
- Also comes with 6 Holiday Themed Accessories and 6 Headpieces.

How is it different to last years?

Last year the Tsum Tsum stackable figures weren't featured as an advent calendar, instead they had a few holiday special packages. I am in love with this advent calendar, this would be the one I wanted as a child.

Is it worth the money?

I think it is as the collectable figures work out to be the same prices when buying them in packs. With this you get Christmas themed tsum tsums and accessories for them, will be a fantastic addition to the playset if your child collects them.

What do you think of the stackable figures advent? Do you prefer this to the plush advent calendar?

Disney Store Tsum Tsum Plush Advent Calendar - £80.00

- Contains 25 Tsum Tsum mini soft toys (Can see contents in image)

How is it different to last years?

Disney Store didn't feature a soft toy advent last year and I'm really happy they've decided to start doing one. This is brilliant, features a lovely Mickey & Minnie Christmas design and all the characters are featured in a Christmas form.

Is it worth the money?

Anything Disney in my mind is worth the price! With this you are getting 25 Christmas mini tsum tsums, normal mini tsum tsums are worth £3.00 so you'd guess this would of been around the £70-£80 mark anyways. As a collector this is something I'd buy and recommend.

What do you think of the Tsum Tsum Plush Advent? Would you prefer original tsum tsums over the Christmas themed ones?

Smiggle Advent Calendar - £28

- Includes exclusive goodies that you can't find in store; erasers, keyrings, toys and even a watch. You also get the chance to see if your raffle ticket has won you a £250 Smiggle shopping spree.

How is it different to last years?

Last year Smiggle featured a triangular shaped advent with Santa's workshop printed on the front. Again they included exclusive items you couldn't find in store so I imagine there wouldn't be any repeats for this years advent. Out of the two I do prefer the Stocking shaped advent, feels a lot more festive.

Is it worth the money?

I wouldn't pay £28 for this advent. I am such a stationery lover but a particular one at that. I think for kids it could be worthwhile but I actually love Smiggle's gifting range more than the advent and would recommend that first.

Would you pay £28 for this advent, £2 more than last years? Do you think a stationery advent is worth the money?

Crayola Christmas Countdown Activity Advent Calendar £20

- Includes 2 Model Magic Ornaments, 3 Finger Puppets, 3 Paper Ornaments, Dimensional Gift Box, Gingerbread House Activity, Christmas Tree Activity, 17 Holiday Colouring Pages and Colouring Tools.

How is it different to last years?

This is the first year Crayola have done an advent calendar that was available in the UK. I believe they started off last year in the US but I cannot find what it would have looked like or contained.

Is it worth the money?

I have heard many conflicting reviews on this advent but the main one seems to be that you can buy Christmas art activities cheaper elsewhere, i.e Poundland (or Dollar Tree if you're in the states). I think people do forget that sometimes you pay for the brand and you pay for good quality. Sure, you can go ahead and buy cheaper but it may not always be as good quality, buying Crayola ensures that the colouring tools will last well into 2017 and the activities you've produced will stand.

What's your opinion on Art Advent Calendars? Do you think Crayola have produced a good one?

Originally I only found 1 new advent to the Playmobil collection, turns out there are 4 which is why this post is going up so late, sorry!

Playmobil Dress Up Party Advent Calendar - £20

- This contains 2 figures with a lot of different dress up clothes and accessories. Even includes a ring for the child to wear.

Playmobil Pirate Treasure Island Advent Calendar - £20

- Includes 2 pirate figures, one boat, one treasure chest and lots of accessories to create an island scene.

Playmobil Christmas On The Farm Advent Calendar - £20

- Includes Santa Claus, An Angel, The Boy with his Tractor, Cows, Goats, Sheep and other farm animals and accessories.

Playmobil 1.2.3 Advent Calendar - £20

- Includes Santa, An Elf, A Sleigh, A Christmas Angel, Reindeer and other woodland animals.

How are they different to last years?

This year they've come up with completely different scene concepts, the only familiarity is Santa being involved in multiple calendars. I actually really like how they've diverted 2 of them from being overly Christmassy as not everyone is as religious with Christmas and may not want to have Calendars that include the Christmas Angel.

Are they worth the money?

In a similar way to the lego advent calendar you are getting figure pieces to build a playset, the only difference is that the pieces themselves aren't buildable. I love these for younger years since you can go from 18 months upwards. Having a child use figure pieces to express their imagination is not only brilliant for them in terms of learning and development but gives you quiet time, bonus!

What do you think of the Playmobil advents? Is there one you prefer more than the others?

Lego City Advent Calendar - £20

- Has a fold out playmat.
- 24 Buildable surprises each day.
- Includes a dog, 7 minifigures and accessories related to volcano crew, a rock star and a firefighter.
- Offers a variety of vehicles.
- Contains 290 pieces.

How is it different to last years?

In a similar fashion to the Star Wars and Friends advent, last year they included more Christmas themed pieces rather than pieces with a Christmas twist. This year I love how there is familiarity but the roles of the pieces has changed. So if you brought last years you can add them together into a larger scene.

Is it worth the money?

Yes, I have really been loving the concept of Lego advent calendars and I think they're a great gift idea and something for them to look forward to or work towards each morning.

What do you think of this years advent from Lego City? Do you think it's better than last years?

Friends Lego Advent Calendar - £20

- Includes Emma & Naomi mini doll figures.
- Features 24 buildable surprises including musical instruments, microphone, DJ Decks, A Hamster, A Fireplace, Snowman and Ice Skates.
- Number of piece: 218

How is it different to last years?

They've introduced new minifigures as last year's advent featured Andrea and Liza. I also love the change from an outdoor to an indoor scene. The only thing I'd change is to include more animal figures as the range does have a lot of sets revolved around animals.

Is it worth the money?

Definitely. There aren't that many ranges in construction type toys like Lego for girls. Each day there is something buildable and I love how they've designed it for them to create a Christmas scene.

What do you think of the Lego Friends Advent? Is there anything you'd change?

Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar - £25

- Includes a fold out playmat.
- Features 8 minifigures, a Battle Droid and an exclusive holiday themed minifigure.
- Vehicles include Slave I, A TIE Interceptor, AAT, T-16 Skyhopper, Sleigh, Republic Cruiser, Droid Gunship, Jedi Interceptor, Skiff and an Imperial Landing Craft.
- Weapons include Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber, 2 Blaster Pistols, 3 Blasters and a Snowcaster.
- Number of pieces: 282

How is it different to last years?

Last year's advent calendar featured less in terms of vehicles and minifigures and they've changed the exclusive figure from a C3PO in a santa suit to a Snowy Wookie. I like the fact that this year they included more Star Wars with a holiday twist items rather than lego presents, holly...etc.

Is it worth the money?

I think so. Lego is one of those collectible toys that sparks imagination, teaches patience and isn't overly age specific. Having a Star Wars Advent Calendar makes it even more exciting for lego collectors or Star Wars fans and it's something different to have as an advent.

What do you think of Lego Advents? Do you prefer this Star Wars advent or last years?

Match Attax Advent Calendar - £20

- Includes 24 Match Attax Packets and an Exclusive Limited Edition card; Over 120 cards in total.

How is it different to last years?

This is the first year Match Attax have done a advent. The cards themselves were released over a year ago so whether you are new to collecting them or trying to get those last few getting this will be a huge help. Not a lot of card companies have done something like this and I can see this trend taking off.

Is it worth the money?

Definitely! For any Match Attax card collectors this will not only boost the collection but each advent is different so between friends there will be a lot of opportunities to trade.

What do you think of Card Advent Calendars? Do you think Match Attax were onto something with this?

Doh Vinci Advent Calendar - £8.97

- Contains 24 design pieces, 4 support pieces, 6 tools, 6 deco pop tubes and an inspiration guide.

How is it different to last years?

This is the first advent that Playdoh have released under their Doh Vinci range. Doh Vinci is essentially using playdoh like a hot glue gun to design and decorate things like photo frames and signs. I love the woodland festive design that they've done, very different to the original Play-Doh advent.

Is it worth the price?

100% Most DohVinci products cost more than £8.97 and to get so many design pieces and tools it's a great starting gift for someone who wants to try out the range.

What do you think of the Doh Vinci Advent? Do you prefer this to the original Play-Doh advent?

Little People Advent Calendar - Price undetermined as I couldn't find the original RRP.

- Contains 24 Little People figures and accessories that will work alongside Little People Playsets.

How is it different to last years?

In a similar fashion to the Toot Toot advent this is the only one released in the UK. Little People is really starting to take off and they've even started doing Disney based figures and playsets. Brilliant idea for a toddler.

Is it worth the money?

Depending what price you get it at it can be. As this was released last year I'd say you'd be able to get this on a good discount. If you collect Little People for your child getting all the figures and accessories to add from one calendar is brilliant.

What do you think of the Little People Advent? Is it one your child would like?

Vtech Toot Toot Drivers Advent Calendar - £10

- Contains 24 fun play pieces including a toot toot truck, detachable trailer, Christmas decorations and more.
- The Box panel folds down to become a toot toot drivers road.
- Includes 3 Christmas songs, 6 festive melodies and lots more sound effects.

How is it different to last years?

This is the only advent Toot Toot have done so far and it was released last year. I really love this as a gift for toddlers and a great way to see if they like the range. I love all the Toot Toot playsets for kids but it's kind of like Sylvanian Families and you will be putting money into it to collect all the bits and pieces.

Is it worth the money?

100% especially if you have a toddler who can't have dairy so a chocolate advent would be out the question. Most Toot Toot pieces are around £10 anyways and with this you are getting so much. If they already collect the range this will add nicely to it.

What do you think of the Toot Toot advent? Are toy advent's a good idea?

- 2 x Double Applicator
- 1 x Blusher Brush
- 1 x Nail File
- 2 x Cuticle Corrector Stick

How is it different to last years?

This is the second advent calendar by Sugar & Spice but unfortunately I couldn't find a contents list for last years so you may be buying repeats. The design this year though is very different. Last year they went with the house print which a lot of advent's tend to do, this year they have this lovely sleigh full of presents.

Is it worth the money?

Yes & No. Depending on the contents list from last year I don't know whether it would be worth repurchasing because of repeats. But for someone that hasn't had a Sugar & Spice advent I'd say go for it!

Is the Sugar & Spice Advent something you'd purchase?
