Text Santa 2015

What is it?

Text Santa is a charity initiative set up by ITV. It started in 2011 and supports UK Based charities over the Christmas Holidays. Each year a couple of charities are chosen to be supported and this year it will be Macmillan Cancer Support, Make A Wish Foundation and Save The Children.

When is it?

It airs on Friday 18th December at 8:00pm on ITV. This year the presenters will be Phillip Schofield, Christine BleakleyAmanda Holden,Stephen MulhernHolly WilloughbyOlly MursCaroline FlackAlesha Dixon and Paddy McGuinness

What does the money do?

Over £21 Million for 22 different charities has been raised so far. The money has gone towards helping families affected by crisis, granting wishes for those who are battling life-threatening illnesses and funding for nursing staff. You can help by purchasing merchandise from stores such as Hobbycraft, Primark, Liberty and Interflora. The main way ITV are getting people to raise money and awareness is by doing your bit in a Christmas knit. If you wear your Christmas knit this Friday then text in your donations!
