I was very tempted to buy loads of pumpkins and carve various Disney characters but unfortunately I have nowhere to put them!

Last year I carved Jack Skellington and this year I decided on the Cheshire Cat from Alice In Wonderland.

I found the template on this website http://www.mommymusings.com/disney-pumpkin-carving-templates/.

I used a knife that we had to cut open the top and a pumpkin carving kit from PoundWorld to scoop out the insides and carve in the design.

I did trace the design out beforehand but it proved difficult with the whiskers so it was done freehand.

I am really happy with how it turned out! I'd love to see what you've carved this year, as always you can find me on Twitter & Instagram.

A couple of weeks ago I shared a recipe I found on Pinterest. I decided to wait until it was closer to Halloween to make them and this is how I got on ^.^

The recipe and ingredients are here
This is what I had to start with.
I melted down the butter & marshmallows then added the orange food colouring.
I then added 6 cups of Rice Krispies and mixed it all together.
Looking back I would of used a bigger saucepan!
When they weren't too hot I molded them into pumpkin sized balls. This proved very difficult as I had no cooking spray and I didn't want to use oil, so I had to use small amounts of butter on my hands for each one I shaped.
When they were cool I was very unsure what to use as the stumps until I remembered I had some miniature mars bars, I cut them in half and stuck them on the top to finish.

Let me know if you made them, how you did and if you have any tips for anyone wanting to have a go. As always you can catch me on Twitter & Instagram.

I wanted to create my own Halloween Sweet Bags for some of the kids in my family and thought I'd share this with you.
I purchased some cellophane bags with twisting ties on Amazon and they were a bargain at £1.40 for 30 so I may make some Christmas versions of these!
All the sweets are from my local Poundworld Store.
I decided to use one bag of the chocolate balls for each bag and split the rest of the sweets up between the 5 Bags. It cost me £7 for all the sweets and I purchased some Sticky Creatures from The Entertainer to mix in with them. If you have children that aren't big sweet/chocolate eaters or if you don't allow it as often, I've found that most pound shops have little toys and even small craft and stationary bits that would fit in the cellophane bags.
I tied them off and they were done, easy!!

I hope you enjoyed this post, as always you can find me on Twitter & Instagram.

Products & Tools

  • L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Base Primer
  • Make Up Forever HD Foundation in N110
  • Seventeen Phwoarr Paint Concealer in Fair
  • Soap & Glory 2 in 1 Archery Eyebrow Pencil in Hot Chocolate
  • Rimmel Waterproof Eyeliner in Black
  • Maybelline Sensational Mascara in Black
  • ELF Eyeshadow in Black
  • Eyelure False Lashes in Definition No 110
  • Bourjois Blush Pot in Golden Rose
  • Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in Red Nose Day
  • Real Techniques Buffing Brush
  • Eyeshadow Brushes
  • Sponges

Step One

I primed my face using the L'Oreal Mattifying Primer. I then went ahead and concealed any blemishes and dark circles.

Step Two

Taking my Real Techniques Buffing Brush I applied the MakeUp Forever HD Foundation and went back in to cover up some redness with the concealer.

Step Three

I filled in my brows naturally but made them a little darker than usual.

Step Four

The main part to Magenta's makeup is the Black Eyeshadow so I went in really heavy with this. I then lined my top and bottom lash lines, again making sure I went in heavy. Using the Eyelure Definition Lashes in No 110 I made sure they were dry and again quite heavily applied mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

Step Five

Taking a sponge I applied blusher to the apples of my cheeks and Red Lipstick to my lips.

Step Six

Magenta has curly hair but the day I did this look my hair wouldn't hold a curl well but go ahead and curl your hair then you're done!

I hope you enjoyed this makeup look, was gutted I couldn't get the hair done too but I wanted to do a look that was quite easy and with products you may already have.

Products & Tools

  • Snazaroo Face Paint in Yellow, Brown, Red, White, Blue & Black
  • Rimmel Eyeliner in White
  • Maybelline Master Drama Chromatics in Gold
  • Sponges
  • Paint Brushes

Step One

With my hair out the way and a clean face I started with a White Eyeliner and making a rough guide of the areas using pictures I googled.

Step Two

I then started with the Yellow Face Paint, before moving onto the Blue & Red and getting the base colours to the pigmentation I wanted. I will say that the Yellow was difficult and you'll need to wait until dry before adding another layer.

Step Three

Using the White Eyeliner and Face Paint I again layered it onto the eyelids. When dry I used a Blue Face Paint to create a line on the top and Black underneath the eyes. I then used a Brown Face Paint on my lips.

Step Four

Then I just needed to add all the finishing touches, such as the White brush marks on each Blue Sides, Four White Spots on the top of the Yellow and lastly Gold on the lips. I did this using Face Paints except the Gold to which I used an eyeliner.

Step Five

You can either keep your hair tied back or let it loose and you are done!

I love musicals and immediately wanted to include a look from The Lion King, the makeup for the production is amazing!

Products & Tools

  • L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Base Primer
  • Make Up Forever HD Foundation in N110
  • Seventeen Phwoarr Paint Concealer in Fair
  • Soap & Glory 2 in 1 Archery Eyebrow Pencil in Hot Chocolate
  • Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Endless Purple
  • Maybelline Sensational Mascara in Black
  • Rimmel Waterproof Eyeliner in Black
  • Eyelure False Lashes in Definition No 110
  • Rimmel Eyeliner in White
  • Bourjois Blush Pot in Golden Rose
  • Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive
  • Real Techniques Buffing Brush
  • Sponges
  • Ariel Wig / Red Wig

Step One

I started with the wig cap on and primed my face using the L'Oreal Mattifying Primer. I then went ahead and concealed any blemishes and dark circles.

Step Two

Taking my Real Techniques Buffing Brush I applied the MakeUp Forever HD Foundation as it's a very good dewy coverage. The reason I used this over a mattifying primer is because I can find it looks very shiny in flash images. I chose not to powder but if you want to set in the foundation go ahead.

Step Three

I filled in my brows naturally, after the trouble I had with my Merida look and decided not to even go there with a red lip liner.

Step Four

Using my finger, I applied a creamy eyeshadow in purple all over my eyelid. I decided on the Maybelline Colour Tattoo as it is so pigmented and the perfect purple for Ariel. I then tight lined using a Black Liner, applied White Liner to the bottom water line and applied one coat of mascara to the top and bottom lashes. Ariel has very flutter like eyelashes so I applied Eyelure's Definition Lashes in No 110 which I am in love with.

Step Five

Taking a sponge I applied blusher to the apples of my cheeks creating a very rose-y look being careful not to make myself look flushed. I then applied my Revlon Lip colour.

Step Six

Add either a red wig or Ariel wig and you're done.

This was very fun to create and was glad I chose a purple base than green. A lot of tutorials I've seen go for a green shadow but I found it didn't suit me as I have dark eyes.

Products & Tools

  • Rimmel 5 in 1 Primer
  • Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Shell
  • Seventeen Phwoarr Paint Concealer in Fair
  • Elf High Definition Powder in Translucent
  • Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel
  • Maybelline Sensational Mascara in Black
  • Rimmel Waterproof Eyeliner in Black
  • Eyelure False Lashes in Volume No 101
  • Rimmel Eyeliner in White
  • Bourjois Blush Pot in Frosted Rose
  • Revlon HD Lipstick in Rose
  • Real Techniques Buffing Brush
  • Sponges
  • Merida Wig

Step One

Either with your hair tied back or your wig cap already on apply primer to a clean face. When dried start using the concealer to cover up any dark circles or blemishes.

Step Two

Taking my Real Techniques Buffing Brush I then applied my foundation. Merida has a very natural look but I wanted a high coverage so I used my Estee Lauder Double Wear as it's the best match to my skin tone. I then sealed everything with the ELF High Definition Powder.

Step Three

Taking the Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in hazel I started to fill in my brows. I had a bit of a problem with this as I have very dark brows but I did the best I could without having to block them out and draw them back on.

Step Four

Carrying on with the eye area I decided to tightline my top water line with Black Eyeliner before applying the false lashes. When they dried I then went in with a White Eyeliner and lined the bottom water line. To finish it off I applied one coat of the Maybelline Sensational mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

Step Five

Taking a sponge I very heavily applied blusher to the cheeks, going a little further down than the apples as Merida is very flushed. Then with the Brown Eyebrow Pencil I gave myself some freckles.

Step Six

With a very light wash of a Rose coloured lipstick, apply the wig and you are done!

I really loved recreating this look ^.^ As always you can catch me on Twitter & Instagram or use the hashtag #HalloweenWithHannah

I found this recipe on Pinterest and thought it would be brilliant to share. I was actually umm-ing and aah-ing about when to post this as it's still the beginning of October but then again if you wanted a recipe for a party or just for general Halloween treats it'd be best to post it early.
As a disclaimer; the image and recipe were found on Pinterest and retraced back to Cincy Shopper. I will be making these myself nearer to Halloween and will update with how I did on Instagram & Twitter.
Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats- Super fun Halloween snack or treat. Perfect for parties.

Ingredients

  • 6 Cups of Rice Krispies
  • 10oz of White Marshmallows
  • 3tbs Butter
  • Orange Food Colouring (or Red & Yellow Mixed)
  • 12 Chocolates (Ones That Are Stalk Shaped)
  • Green Icing

Method

-Melt the butter in a saucepan over a low heat before adding the marshmallows making sure you stir constantly.

-Remove the pan from the heat and add a few drops of either the orange food colouring or the mix of red and yellow.

-Mix in the Rice Krispies.

-When they are all covered start taking palm sized amounts and roll the into small pumpkin shaped balls.
-Take your chocolate and stick it on the top using the Green Icing and if your feeling very artistic, pipe on some leaves at the bottom of the stalk and you are done!

I hope you like this post, kudos to Cindy Shopper ^.^

Products & Tools

  • Snazaroo Face Paint in Blue & Black.
  • Rimmel Blue Eyeshadow
  • Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in Pleasure Me Red
  • Rimmel Waterproof Eyeliner in Black
  • Seventeen Falsifeye Mascara in Black
  • Eyelure Volume Lashes in No 83
  • Sponges
  • Paint Brushes
  • Red Wig

Step One

Starting with a clean face and neck apply the blue face paint all over using a brush and/or sponge. Looking back at this I probably would have used either another brand of paint or been very careful to let layers dry before painting another layer. Getting the pigmentation proved difficult and it wasn't smooth throughout.

Step Two

Line the top and bottom waterline with a black eyeliner, I again used my Rimmel Waterproof one as I get on really well with it when tightlining. Then take a Blue Eyeshadow and apply all over the lid.

Step Three

Using my Maybelline Sensational mascara I applied it to the top and bottom lashes before adding the Eyelure Volume lashes to give more definition.

Step Four

Using a thin paint brush and black Snazaroo Paint I attempted similar markings to Sally using a variety of images.

Step Five

I then applied my red lipstick making sure I made my top lip that little bit bigger as Sally has very pout like, even sized lips, whereas my top lip is that bit thinner.

Step Six

Added a red wig and was done!

I really hope you liked this look. As always you can find me on Twitter & Instagram or use the hashtag #HalloweenWithHannah.

Products & Tools

  • Snazaroo Face Paint in White & Black.
  • Sponges
  • Paint Brushes
  • Hair Tie

Step One

Jack Skellington has no hair, obviously, so rather than the alternative of using a bald cap I just threw it up into a high ponytail. If you do decided to use a bald cap and paint it white I would suggest looking on YouTube for some tips and tricks.

Step Two

Using a brush, sponge and White Face Paint I painted my whole face white with the exception of around the eye area.

Step Three

I then went in with Black Face Paint and painted the eye making sure to make them big, but not so much it doesn't look like his eyes.

Step Four

With a thinner brush paint on a black smile with lines in for the teeth. Then you are done!

Step Five

The only thing I didn't do is add Black Face Paint to the nose for nostrils. Just because in test runs I found it looked really out of place and for me it was either too close or too far from the smile line.
