Modcloth Wishlist // June 2014

Modcloth is an online brand that specialises in mass-produced vintage or vintage pieces. I came across this brand whilst searching for longer length dresses, so if you have read my previous post The Fashion Problems Of A Tall Girls I would recommend looking for dresses on here.
The website provides an online customer care service with their email and phone information and a chat / ask a Modcloth stylist section for instant messaging. This is a brilliant service they provide. I use to to ask for the specific dimensions on a garment and ask if they think the size I would want to order, would be ok as some items run smaller or bigger in places due to cut or style. I have emailed in when instant messaging is offline and found they reply within 24 hours.
I have never been able to get such an amazing level of customer service from anywhere else before, they certainly go above and beyond!

What surprises me most is the customer reviews section. There is an optional section to show what your size is, what size you brought the garment in, as well as the review. Also by sectioning the rating into Fit, Length and Quality can help you filter the reviews. People add pictures of them in the garment and with being tall, I can see a truer reflection of how it could fit. The website hosts a community feeling it's something I think other brands should start investing in to.

Recently I've been loving some pieces on the website and compiled a wishlist!

Author Outing Dress In Green

A dress like this is perfect for the upcoming summer barbecue!
It's the outfit that stands out without being too overdressed.

The crochet detailing on the neckline and skirt adds to the shape of the garment giving an hourglass figure, but without too much emphasis on a cinched waistline. I think this would look perfect with a pair of t-bar heels/flats. Comes in a lovely Goldenrod and Rogue colour!

Storytelling Showstopper Dress

I love a cowl neck dress. I have so many already in my wardrobe but I really love the detailing on this one. If you have just finished school/university then this would be a perfect interview outfit. It's got lovely ruched panel down the middle which emphasises your figure without showing too much skin. This would go with black tights and boots so it is smart/casual with no need to accessorize.

Read It & Steep Romper

Now this outfit I wouldn't recommend for taller girls but I do really love this and hope that something like this would be available in a longer length soon. This romper would be a go to for those hotter days, whether out shopping with friends or having a picnic with the family. It'll keep you feeling cool and on trend. Floral print is big for spring and summer every year but I really love the tones of colour used in this print. This has a button up style with shirring at the waist and subtle drape style pockets, it's an all in one summer casual look.

By The Pond Top

If your a jeans a t-shirt type of person then I would go for something like this. It is a gorgeous print with small lace detailing on the sleeves. The cut if flattering on every shape. I also like the elongated underarm, makes you feel more breezy and less sweaty. This would just be a lovely statement piece with jeans and converse.

Medium Format Memory Tunic In Southwestern

I love a good zig-zag/Aztec style print and seeing this I thought it'd be a fairly similar benefit to a summer wardrobe like the By The Pond Top. This loose fitting top is for people that are more jeans and t-shirt but with a girly flare. Its V neck and comes with a matching printed tie belt so you keep it loose and put the emphasis on your bust or tighter to cinch in the waist. I think this has a lovely flowing quality to it, nice to wear for a meal out with the girls.

Essential Elegance Skirt In Black

When I saw this skirt, I instantly fell in love, so much so that I ended up ordering it! This skirt has a lovely double tiered drape that sits on the knee line perfectly. I think this is an amazing statement piece for the summer, it's very Audrey Hepburn and I am really really excited! Can't wait for it to arrive!

That is pretty much a small chunk of a huge list of items I really liked, if you haven't heard of Modcloth before I would really recommend it. If your not a vintage fashion person they also have an apartment section with wall decor, furnishings, bedding...etc.

As always, thanks for reading...
